Las Vegas baby!!

Alright, so yesterday, Monday we got up late (around 10) for the first time on the trip. I was very happy=) After we got ready we headed out to look at the strip and all the different big hotels!! Since we live at the Stratosphere hotel, it is a little bit further down from all the other hotels on the strip so we did not think it was all that of a walk, but apparently we were wrong. It looked very close, but it took around 30 min, which shouldn't be all that of a long walk but it was very hot as well, so we´ll blame it on that;) Like I said, we were suppose to look at the hotels, but right next to Treasure Island, it is an mall which we entered first and kind of stayed all day..... Shopping is much more fun in Vegas, right? =) But we had to get back for our 7pm American Superstar Show at our hotel, so on our way back we pit stopped at the Wynn hotel right next to the mall;) Inside by the entrance they have a lot of flowers on the side and in the roof. It is really nice, and if you go further you can see that they have an waterfall outside the hotel, but it has a lot of trees around so it is not shown from the road or such. It is really cool!! On the American Superstar Show they had lookalikes of Elvis, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw. It was so much fun watching and the people who was the different stars did a really good job by portraying how the stars sing, behave, dance and such. I think both me and Karianne can agree that the Michael Jackson lookalike was the best. He was really!! good at dancing and doing the moon walk and all the other signature dances of Michael. He did his voice really good as well. The Elvis lookalike did a really good job as well, swinging his hips all over the place :p After the show we went out on the strip again where we went inside Treasure Island, we got to see the pirate show outside the hotel where you have a "girl" ship and a "boy " ship who are fighting and of course the girls are winning the battle;) We went inside the Venetian which is also a hotel on the strip. It is also connected to a shopping center that looks like Venice. It feels like it is day all the time even if it is night outside, because of the roof inside is all blue with sky´s and a lot of light;) Our goal for the night was the nightclub the Jet at the Mirage hotel. Apparently that is the place to be on a Monday. It was huge!, with a dance floor in the middle whit bars around and they had dancers in the VIP sections and dance floors in the middle. The security was strict there, had guards everywhere and several check points before we got in. We stayed there for a little while and then headed back to the hotel.

Today we were laying by the pool for some time before we were eating lunch/brunch at the Top of the World restaurant at Stratosphere. The thing is rotating so you get to see the view of the whole city. It was really cool, you even saw the people taking the carousels on the top when they where over the ground. I don't know why they would want to do something like that, but they probably get some kind of kick from it. Karianne would like to try the Big Shot which shoots you right up and let you fall down. It is above the restaurant which is 800 feet (around 244 meters) over the ground, so yeah quite high wouldn't you say?=) They had really good food at the Top of the World, and Karianne got dessert which looked like the tower, it was really cool. It was chocolate mousse with strawberry i think;) It was good at least=) After the lunch/brunch we just relaxed, and are waiting to go out again to look some more around, and gamble a little in the hope of maybe winning. Maybe we will be able to win enough so we can cover the whole trip? I wish;)

Tomorrow we will be heading for Route 66 and Arizona and then we will see how far we get. At least we will see the Grand Canyon!
