Oklahoma City, Route 66, Springfield, St. Louis, Chicago and Niagara Falls

Wazz up peeps?
Currently we are in Niagara Falls, got here today after a 9 hour drive from Chicago! Before Chicago we drove route 66 and hw44 back and forth from Albuquerque up to Chicago, not in one day though;) The first city after Albuquerque we stayed in was Oklahoma City, it was on the 5th of June, we did not do anything special there since we came pretty late and the drive up to Oklahoma City was mostly scenery so nothing special there.

The day after we left for Springfield where we drove a good part of the day on route 66. It was pretty fun, we got to drive through a city that had a cars displaying, like really old cars and stands all over on the main street in the city which is called Sapulpa. It was really cool walking down the street looking at all the different cars and people, and it was such nice cars! (Karianne has some pictures of the cars in her last blog). After that little getaway we continued driving to Springfield seeing more small towns/places along the way.
On Sunday, the 7th, we continued to St. Louis were we stopped by "the world largest giftshop" where we bought some route 66 souvenirs and they also had a candy factory where they had a "small" selection of candy. On the way up to St. Louis an accident had happend as well where a couple of cars had crashed but it seemed that the people were not hurt which was good. When we have been driving we have not seen that many accidents but more off people being stopped by the cops because of speeding, which have not happend to us in some miraculous way;) We stayed in a little town outside of St. Louis called Collinsville where they had the largest ketchup bottle called "catsup", that was kind off funny! After seeing that one, we drove into downtown Collinsville where we walked a little bit around looking at the place. They had some sort of graduation party it seemed like for the high school graduates there since they had a big amount of people outside the school in party tents.

On Monday we continued driving to Chicago. This was the first day where the weather was starting to get cold, its been warm all along and all of sudden it started getting overcast and cold. But I guess that has to happen as well. Nothing special happend on the road, we got to the hotel which was a little outside of Chicago (takes about 30min to get into downtown) and after checking inn we went to a really great Italian place called Mama Luigis for food and just drove around looking.
Tuesday, yesterday, we went into downtown Chicago. We parked the car and starting walking up and down the streets. It was tall buildings!! It was over cast and windy which was a bummer, but we went up to the Sears tower anyway to see over the city. We only got to the 99th floor, they had closed off the 103ed floor because of the fog but we still managed to see Lake Michigan, Chicago river, Buckingham fountain, and Wrigley field to mention some. To bad the sun did not manage to break through:/ We did not really do anything special in Chicago, just walked around and looked at all the tall buildings went into different stores and had trouble finding our car when we got to the parking garage again;) In the evening we went to Best Buy, because Karianne was gonna by a SLR camera, so now we can take great pictures of everything:D After that we went to a fun park where we played some minigolf and apparently both of us need to practice if we are going to be able to get par or less on the different holes, but I managed to get 1 hole in one!

Today we drove over to Niagara Falls in Canada because we figured that maybe we needed one day here to experience the falls and everything that follows! Tomorrow we are doing a boat trip on the Niagara Falls and walking around looking at the falls which I am looking very much forward to!!
